On Friday, October 4, 2024, an introductory meeting and the first lecture took place as part of the tourism guide training. The training of local tourism guides for educational and guiding activities is beneficial for Pezinok and is a prerequisite for fulfilling the objectives of the INTERREG SK-AT /Common Development of the Model Regions Geopark Malé Karpaty, Biosphärenpark Wienerwald, Naturpark Rosalia-Kogelberg/ CoDe MoRe * project, of which the town of Pezinok is the main partner.
Future male and female tourism and educational guides can look forward to a series of lectures on specialized topics related to tourism, history, and field exercises.
14. and on February 15, 2025, the guide course should culminate in a final examination, and the newly qualified male and female guides will receive a tourism guide certificate accredited by the Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Sport of the Slovak Republic.
A total of 15 male and female participants enrolled in the course driven by a desire for new knowledge, to broaden their horizons, and for a fascination with the world, Slovakia, and Pezinok. While some are drawn to Slovak and Pezinok history, art history, or would like to introduce our significant personalities to tourists visiting Pezinok, local residents, students, and the general public, for others, the culture and traditions of our town are important. All agreed that the work of a guide in tourism, working with people and in a place they are meant to accompany tourists and the public, is an attractive profession.
Pezinok is a town rich in history, traditions, art, and gastronomy, with much to offer tourists. A good guide helps visitors discover the best of our town in an engaging way.
The first lecture was an introduction to tourism, led by JUDr. Ľudmila Novacká, PhD. The attendees were introduced to its forms and learned about economic, social, and environmental sustainability in tourism.
