Archaeological research is underway at the Suchý vrch – Pereg House site, aiming to clarify the function and history discernible from the remains of the masonry structure. The research is being conducted by the Malokarpatské Museum in collaboration with representatives of the Pezinok City Museum. We visited the site to observe the progress of the work. Archaeologist Lenka Choma Soročinová, who supervises this research, provided us with an update. Although we are eager to learn the answers to all our questions regarding the ruin, we will still have to await the expert opinion of the scientific community.
For your interest, we present several photographs from the investigated site. We also had the opportunity to look under the tarpaulins covering the archaeological trenches (excavated pits). We advise the public that during any visit to the site, they should avoid covered areas, as there is a risk of falling. The archaeological research area is marked; please do not enter.
