As part of the international CoDeMoRe project – Common Development of the Model Regions, intensive revitalization is underway in Pezinok around Perecký domček, which is becoming one of the main points for environmental education in the region. Concrete foundations have already been laid for the planned elements – wooden gazebos, bicycle stands, Corten steel sculptures, information panels, and gabion benches. A valid building permit for all these activities was issued by the building authority in Viničné, and the nature protection department at the district and regional levels also provided its consent. Prior to the realization, an archaeological survey was conducted by the Malokarpatské Museum in Pezinok. Subsequent excavation work for the foundation structures was carried out under the supervision of archaeologists.

In the next phase, the wooden gazebos, bicycle stands, Corten steel sculptures, information boards, as well as gabion walls and benches will be installed on the completed foundations. All concrete parts will be integrated to aesthetically and functionally complement the landscape character of the site. This will create an attractive, educational, and recreational space that will serve the public as a gateway to the natural phenomena of the Malé Karpaty region.

The CoDeMoRe project is the result of cooperation between the Slovak Malé Karpaty Geopark (City of Pezinok and the non-profit organization Barbora), the Austrian Wienerwald Biosphere Reserve, and the Rosalia-Kogelberg Nature Park. Its goal is to establish a strong cross-border partnership in biodiversity protection, green infrastructure development, and joint environmental education. Activities in Pezinok also include expanding the local info center with a new room dedicated to natural phenomena, creating a network of educational points, training lecturers, and organizing expert excursions.
