As the lead partner of the CoDe MoRe project, the City of Pezinok participated in the year’s kick-off meeting under the organizational leadership of the Wienerwald Biosphere Reserve, which took place on January 21 in the Austrian town of Purkersdorf. The delegation for the City of Pezinok included Miroslava Petrušová and Michaela Zemanovičová from the Strategy and Urban Development Department of the Pezinok Municipal Office, as well as other project partners – the non-profit organization Barbora (Little Carpathians Geopark) and the Burgenland Economic Agency Ltd. (Rosalia-Kogelberg Nature Park).

Discussions focused primarily on strengthening regional cooperation, international perspectives, and the active involvement of young people. The meeting brought many inspiring ideas and a shared vision for a sustainable future for the meeting organizer – the Wienerwald Biosphere Reserve.

The CoDe MoRe (Common Development of the Model Regions) project focuses on responsible and sustainable landscape management in the context of climate change, increasing pressure on the territory, and changing lifestyles. Its goal is the development of model regions where nature conservation is linked with the support of biodiversity, education, sustainable tourism, and the development of local communities.
