If you enjoy spending time outdoors, you’ve probably noticed that new attractions are popping up around Pezinok. As part of the CoDeMoRe project, an educational nature trail with playful and interactive elements is being created, making time outdoors more enjoyable for children, students, and adults alike.

On Thursday, November 6, 2025, a working meeting was held at the Pezinok Municipal Office with representatives of local schools, where the author of the interactive game, Jana Hrnčiariková, presented the latest developments in the Pezinok area. The aim of the meeting was to introduce teachers to the possibilities of outdoor educational activities and support them in incorporating these activities into the spring curriculum.

Join us for a walk along the newly emerging nature trail

The walk begins at the turnoff to Rozálka, where visitors are welcomed by Pereg – the vintner’s mayor – who invites them on a route full of games and discoveries. Along the way, you might encounter a few vintners and rest on themed benches, each with its own distinctive feature – a different “filling.” Can you guess what type of stone is hidden in each bench?

From the viewpoint by the giant bench, there’s an impressive view of Pezinok and its surroundings. Trees typical of the region are planted nearby, such as the small-leaved lime, chestnut, and peach.

The trail continues to the Perecký cottage, where an outdoor classroom is being created – a space designed for learning and relaxation. It includes information panels, interactive elements, a fire pit with seating, and an observation point for watching forest life.

The figures and panels that accompany visitors along the entire route are made of Corten steel, known for its naturally “rusted” appearance. This allows them to blend perfectly into the landscape and requires no surface treatment – time and weather become part of their unique character.

Along the way, you can see a small well, a granite formation, and a grandmother figure building stone walls – once used to mark land boundaries and serve as windbreaks. The final point of the trail is a tree frog wetland, from which you can either return or continue along the forest path.

The Pezinok area thus offers not only relaxation but also the chance to discover, learn, and experience nature in its authentic form. The nature trail is scheduled for full completion in spring 2026.

We warmly invite you to come and explore.

In closing, we would like to ask all visitors to help take care of this place together. If you see litter during your walk, please take it with you to the nearest trash bin. Let’s respect nature and avoid damaging the elements of the nature trail, so that it can continue to serve and delight everyone it was created for – all of you.
