The Interreg CoDeMoRe project links three exceptional territories – the Wienerwald Biosphere Reserve, the Malé Karpaty Geopark, and the Rosalia-Kogelberg Nature Park – with the aim of connecting regions, sharing know-how, and jointly protecting bio- and geodiversity through sustainable development and education.

The project also produced a short VIDEO TRAILER, offering a brief glimpse into these model regions. The film offers an engaging look at the bio- and geodiversity of these locations, highlighting their unique natural and cultural values. The video trailer was created by Jakub Šteinecker from Pezinok, whose eye for imagery, detail, and atmosphere gives the film an authentic and compelling character.

Introducing the three model regions

Vienna Woods Biosphere Reserve – Wienerwald (AT)
A UNESCO biosphere reserve designated in 2005, serving as an example of sensitive landscape management in close proximity to a major metropolis. It combines the protection of core areas, sustainable forest management, environmental education, and active public engagement through information and community projects.

Rosalia-Kogelberg Nature Park (AT)
A model territory in Burgenland bringing together 13 municipalities, where nature conservation is combined with environmental education, support for local communities, sustainable tourism, and the development of the cultural landscape amid climate change and growing pressure on the land.

Malé Karpaty Geopark (SK)
An extensive territory managed by the non-profit organization Barbora, combining exceptional geological, biological, and cultural heritage. The geopark covers an area of more than 1,700 km², includes over 70 municipalities, including the town of Pezinok, and aims to develop the territory through sustainable management and to gain international recognition within the UNESCO Global Geoparks Network.
